Model United Nations club members had a successful weekend at the Royal Hospital School conference last week, winning three prestigious awards, in the face of very tough competition. Year 8’s Oscar D and Freya share more from the conference.
Year 9’s Oscar D and Freya
Year 10’s Bea was a commended delegate in the Political council, Year 8’s Freya was also commended for her contribution to the Conservation council and Year 8’s Oscar D was chosen as best delegate of the Environmental council.
Year 9’s Maxim was invited to be a guest chair and was commended by the organisers for being a great team player, working with the ‘house’ team in guiding the Political council.
Year 12’s Ewan gave a significant contribution to the conference representing China in the prestigious Security Council Committee.
Debates included discussions on topics ranging from animal poaching and deforestation to genetic engineering and the role of AI in education.
