Peripatetic Singing Teacher
Salary: £29.25 + travel (Employed)
£39.11 + travel (Self-Employed)

We are looking to appoint a Peripatetic Singing Teacher, to start in January 2024.

You will need to teach singing from beginner to Grade 8, and be a highly experienced and inspiring teacher, who is able to offer a dynamic and individualised approach to singing, with an appropriate qualification in music.

Head of Chemistry
Salary: £46,288 to £50,091 per annum

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and visionary Head of Chemistry. You will be responsible for the strategic leadership of your subject to ensure the highest standards of provision. The successful applicant will have a passion for the subject and will be capable of teaching up to and including A-Level. The ability to inspire and motivate our pupils, leading the Chemistry Department in sustaining its high standards of teaching, is essential.

Minibus Driver – Route (Whatfield)
Salary: £11.37 per hour, plus holiday pay
26 hours per week
Term time only (34 weeks per year) | Permanent

We require an enthusiastic and friendly Minibus Driver to provide an early morning and late after- noon transport service to our pupils, as well as ensuring that the appropriate checks are carried out on the minibus prior to driving. You will be joining an already established, friendly and supportive team. The hours of work are between 6:00-8:30am and 5:00-7:30pm, with a slight change on a Friday where hours are between 4:00-6:30pm.

There may be opportunities for further hours during the school day to cover student trips etc. You will:

  • Possess a category D, D1 licence.
  • Be able to demonstrate that you are a reliable, safe driver with a clean driving licence; ideally you will have appropriate driving experience.
  • Be prepared to undergo a pre-employment health assessment.
  • Possess the ability to interact effectively with children and ensure their safety; ideally having experience of working with young people.

We are seeking enthusiastic, reliable, and hardworking cleaners to join our team. We have multiple opportunities available on various shift patterns, for example between approximately
5.00am and 8.00am or between 4.00pm and approximately 8.00pm (preferred shift patterns will be discussed at interview). Working hours will be between Monday to Friday. Some additional holiday and weekend cleaning hours may be available. These roles are based at our Senior School and Prep School sites.

The successful person will be able to follow instructions to safely and effectively use chemicals and machinery to undertake the tasks required. Previous cleaning experience would be an advantage but is not essential.

Volunteer Committee Members
The Seckford Foundation

The Seckford Foundation is one of Suffolk’s oldest charities, endowed by Thomas Seckford in 1587,  with the mission to promote the education of the young and the care of the elderly in and around Woodbridge.  The Foundation owns and operates two significant and long standing institutions in the town, Seckford Care and Woodbridge School.

The Foundation has circa 330 employees, over 800 beneficiaries and an annual turnover of £13 million.

The Foundation is controlled by a Board of Trustees, who delegate responsibility for the day-to-day activities to a series of committees comprising Trustees, specialist co-opted members and executives.

We are currently looking for individuals with experience in health and safety, older persons care or CQC inspections to take up positions on either the Seckford Care Committee or the Compliance and Risk Committee. We are also seeking individuals with experience in HR to join our Finance, Audit and Resources Committee.
