Junior Sous Chef
£22,500 per annum. Full-time, full-year. 43 hours per week.

We are looking to appoint an experienced Junior Sous Chef to join our busy School Catering team, preparing and cooking fresh produce.

You will have a minimum of 1 years experience in a similar position or demonstrable experience in this area, and ideally have a level 2 in food production and catering, and a level 2 food hygiene certificate.

You will be required to provide varied catering offers ranging from daily school lunches to high end hospitality and therefore a solid range of cookery and organisational skills will be required.

This is a busy and varied role, so you will need to be flexible and practical in your approach, coupled with a good working knowledge of health and safety requirements. Some evenings and weekend working will be required on a rota basis and there will also be a requirement to cater for hospitality functions.

Senior IT Technician
£26,000 to £28,000 per annum dependent on skills and experience. 35 hours per week, 52 weeks per annum

An opportunity has arisen for a Senior IT Technician to join our growing team to support the
Head of IT to effectively manage and maintain all aspects of IT hardware and software for the Seckford Foundation, which governs Woodbridge School and Seckford Care.

Supporting all IT aspects across our diverse academic and non-academic organisation, you will also take responsibility for proactively managing specific projects as directed by the Head of IT, and support with supervising and mentoring other members of the team.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in IT support with at least 3 years’ experience within a support role. You will also have practical experience in an ICT networking environment. Some experience of supervising and managing others would be an advantage but is not essential.

IT Technician
£21,000 to £23,000 per annum dependent on skills and experience. 35 hours per week, 52 weeks per annum

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a new member of the staff to join the existing small IT team in providing application and system support for a diverse academic and non-academic organisation. The Seckford Foundation is a charity which supports schools in the Woodbridge area as well as other sites in Suffolk.

The post will require the successful candidate to provide desktop and server support for Microsoft based operating systems and office applications, 3rd party applications as well as phone systems, networking and infrastructure on site. This post will also have aspects of academic and technical systems administration and support.

Theatre Technician
£20,000 per annum, full-time, full-year

We are seeking a proactive, creative and enthusiastic person to provide technical support to our external hires and school productions. You will be responsible for assisting with all technical aspects of productions including the set up and operation of staging, lighting, sound and audio / visual equipment. You will have extensive knowledge and experience of all technical aspects required for the role. Ideally, you will also have some experience and aptitude for basic scene building, IT systems and ability to assist the implementation of the theatre’s new networking infrastructure.

You will work closely with the Technical Manager and report to the Theatre Manager.

This is a busy and varied role, so you will need to be flexible and practical in your approach, coupled with a good working knowledge of health and safety requirements.

Health Safety and Compliance Officer
£35,000 Full time, 35 hours per week typically 8am – 4pm.

We are looking to appoint an experienced Health, Safety & Compliance Officer to join our team, to be responsible for the effective management of all Health and Safety and Statutory Compliance (excluding safeguarding) matters for the Seckford Foundation, including policy implementation, monitoring and inspection, risk management, investigation and delivery of training.

You will be responsible for all matters relating to Health & Safety, Fire Safety, Risk Management, Staff Training and Data Protection and should therefore hold an accredited Health & Safety qualification, with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role.

Outstanding interpersonal skills are a must, as is an ability to communicate effectively in both the written and verbal form. An ability to influence and negotiate is key as we aim to ensure robust ongoing compliance across the Foundation.
