Christmas in Reception
8 Dec 17
Reception children have learnt all about the story of the nativity this week. They took on various roles and re-enacted the story, remembering lots of detail and adding their own interpretations! Following that they did some carol singing which Matron and the Year 1s enjoyed. The children have loved buying and selling in the Christmas market role play area. The classrooms are drenched in glitter and the Christmas party was magical with a very jolly Father Christmas making a surprise appearance and giving each child a gift. A busy week, not to mention our first school outing: a trip to the theatre to see a wonderful performance of ‘Wow!’ Said the Owl – the children were entranced and beautifully behaved.
