Academic Awards

These are available to pupils entering the Senior School at 11, 13 and 16. All current pupils are considered for awards at 11, 13 and 16 alongside those applying for entry to the School. There is no need for a separate application. Academic Awards are based on the results of the entrance tests, and there are no separate papers. At 16 Awards are offered on the basis of interviews and are provisional on GCSE results. All Awards are a percentage of the tuition fee and can be worth up to 50% in value.

“All-Round” Awards

All-round Awards can be offered at 11, 13 and 16 to those who have good overall talent, but who have not reached the standard of Award in any specific area. To be considered for an all-round award you must be assessed for two or more awards e.g. music and sport, or drama and art.
