Year 11 Cambridge University Trip

Mr Tetley took a group of nearly 30 Year 11s to find out more about the university. The pupils heard from Dr David Smith, one of Mr Tetley’s former teachers, about what they are looking for in a successful applicant. The group then had a tour of Selwyn College by a current student (including his room!) and a number of other colleges. There was a theme of great British physicists with Gonville and Caius, Stephen Hawking’s college, and Trinity College, Isaac Newton’s college, being amongst those visited. It was a really useful visit, pre GCSEs, for Woodbridge pupils to realise that their GCSE grades, while not make or break can really put them at an advantage when applying.
