Hockey v Culford: won 2-0

27 Nov 15

This match we finally made a break through; we won! We managed to do all the things that we wanted to.

The first half was a good sign. We were passing down the right side and getting shots on goal. For the entire of the first half we were knocking on the door. They only managed to bring the ball down our side of the pitch a few times due to clearances. The midfield were working hard and getting the ball to the attackers. We were getting the quick reactions that we wanted to after the ball went out of play. The half ended at 0-0 but spirits were high.

At the start of the second half we were finally rewarded with a goal from Nell. We continued the good form throughout the half and they couldn’t break through our defense. Near the end of the half we were again rewarded with a great goal from Cecily; she had been working hard to get one all match. Cecily though, was not the only midfielder working hard. Tori McCarrol, Grace and Amelia Kirkum were getting the ball to the attackers on the wing. Libby Martin was also finding space so that the midfield had someone to pass to.

The match ended with a score of 2-0. Man of the match for Woodbridge was Nell Pilkington. Everybody did a great job and worked hard, well done Woodbridge!
