Hockey: Girls Senior Firsts Take 3-0 Win

An inspired first half performance saw our senior first team take a 3-0 lead against a young and fast Ipswich High team. Early pressure paid off when Laura G opened the scoring, and with the girls playing some of the best hockey in recent times, plenty more scoring opportunities followed. Olivia W was particularly dynamic up front, and was duly rewarded with two quality goals of her own. With counter attacks from the opposition competently stifled and the win now pretty secure, the second half was less dramatic and led to no further goals. This very satisfying start to the season owed much to all the players’ hard work, but special mention must go to Olivia, Verity J, Ella B and player of the match, Lily F, for outstanding contributions.
