Fantastic Learning at Colchester Castle

On Tuesday 20 February, Year One had a fantastic learning experience at Colchester Castle. The pupils looked at a variety of artefacts in the museum as well as trying on armour and using a chariot simulator! Our tour guide took us through the castle and explained and role played how people in medieval times lived.

We carefully walked up steep staircases and looked out across Colchester from the very top of the castle. The day ended with us completing lots of medieval activities, from smelling herbs and spices, decorating illuminated lettering and role playing with cooking artefacts. A fun and hands on learning experience had by all!
