Alumni & Fundraising Manager

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Alumni & Fundraising Manager to join us, to promote a compelling and memorable identity for Woodbridge School (and Seckford Care as required); one which will resonate with all of its stakeholders including students, parents, alumni and the local community.

This position will require working closely with teams across the School (and Seckford Care), your primary focus will be to meet individuals and businesses to identify fundraising opportunities and develop campaigns to increase the Schools viability with supporters and staff to maximise its opportunity to raise donations. The postholder will be expected to increase the Woodbridge School financial income.

The successful applicant will develop and implement a strategy and budget for fundraising with agreed targets and plans which will be reviewed on a regular basis. You will work closely with all alumni (Old Woodbridgians) and understand the heart of the School and what makes Woodbridge special to enable engagement with current staff and pupils. You will have a Degree or equivalent vocational experience and basic knowledge of legislation and regulations relevant to fundraising.

Reception Teacher

Woodbridge School Pre-Prep is an integral part of Woodbridge School, set in the beautiful grounds of the Prep School in the heart of Woodbridge. We provide an exceptional educational environment within which each child can flourish.

We are seeking to appoint an inspirational and caring Reception teacher, from January 2021 (a later start date may be considered for an exceptional candidate). You should be an excellent and innovative classroom practitioner, with a passion to inspire our young minds. We are looking for someone who recognises the importance of educating the whole child within a broad curricular and co-curricular programme.

The successful candidate will embrace all aspects of a busy preparatory school life.

Minibus drivers

Approx. 24 hours per week dependent on route, Term time only (34 weeks per year annum)

£9.23 per hour
Salary: £16,806.18 pro rata (actual £8,626 per annum)

We require enthusiastic and friendly Minibus Drivers to provide an early morning and late afternoon transport service to our pupils in Suffolk and Essex, as well as ensuring that the appropriate checks are carried out on the minibus prior to driving. You will be joining an already established, friendly and supportive team. There may also be the opportunity for additional hours.

There may be opportunities for further hours during the school day to cover student trips etc.

You will:

  • Possess a category D, D1 licence or possess a PSV/CPC;
  • Be able to demonstrate that you are a reliable, safe driver with a clean
  • driving licence; ideally you will have appropriate driving experience;
  • Be prepared to undergo a pre-employment health assessment;
  • Possess the ability to interact effectively with children and ensure their
  • safety; ideally having experience of working with young people.
  • Ideally have knowledge of the Suffolk/ Essex border area (not essential).

Catering Assistants

General Catering Assistants (2 x positions)

  • 1 x 15 hour per week role, term-time only, permanent
  • 1 x 30 hour per week role, term-time only, fixed-term for 1 year

Salary: £17,684 per annum pro rata (actual £10,787 for 30 hours per week / £5,393 per annum for 15 hours per week) based on 36 weeks per annum

We are looking to appoint two enthusiastic General Catering Assistants to join our busy Catering Team.  We have one 15 hour per week role available in our Prep School kitchen, and one 30 hour per week fixed-term role in our Senior School kitchen.  You will assist with all general kitchen / catering duties in our busy catering department as directed by the Chefs, including the preparation and provision of the food service to pupils, staff and visitors.
