Catering Assistant

30 hours per week role, term-time only (36 weeks per annum), permanent
Salary: £18,069 per annum pro rata (actual £11,022 per annum)

We are looking to appoint a General Catering Assistant to join our busy Catering Team at our Senior School. Working 30 hours per week, on a rolling shift basis, you will assist with all general kitchen / catering duties in our busy catering department as directed by the Chefs, including the preparation and provision of the food service to pupils, staff and visitors.

Shifts will be worked 5 days out of 7, and will vary between weekend, evening and daytime hours.

Boarding House Matron

25 hours per week, 34 weeks per year
£19,000pa pro rata dependent on skills an experience.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Boarding House Matron to join the pastoral team at Woodbridge School’s Boarding House. This is a mainly term time position (34 weeks per annum) and non-residential.

The role of a House Matron is one of trust and responsibility and therefore plays a key part in ensuring the wellbeing of the pupils residing in the Boarding House. The successful candidate will have a special role in assisting the wider Boarding House team to create a happy, respectful and caring atmosphere in the house, and will also work collaboratively with the Housekeeper and School Medical team to ensure continuity of pupil health and welfare.

We are looking for someone who has a clear understanding of the pastoral care provision as well as having a flexible, resilient and empathetic approach, coupled with a caring and cheerful disposition. First Aid training will be provided if necessary. Qualifications and /or experience in childcare, training in nursing or in a health and social care setting would also be an advantage.

HR Manager

HR Manager

Circa. £45-£48k pro rata.

The Seckford Foundation is one of Suffolk’s oldest charities, established in 1587, and today it governs Woodbridge School and Seckford Care. We are now looking to appoint an experienced HR Manager to join our diverse organisation, ideally with experience of working in an educational setting and/or care environment.

The post-holder will be responsible for providing a focused and complete HR service to Woodbridge School, Seckford Care and the Foundation, ensuring compliance with all relevant policies, employment legislation and best practice, as well as promoting effective employee relations. For the right candidate, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a busy and successful charity, and to manage and develop our HR provision. The successful candidate will have knowledge and understanding of key HR processes and experience of HR systems and databases, combined with a proactive approach, excellent communication skills, and the ability to use initiative to improve processes.
