Woodbridge School riding teams have been busy attending various qualifying competitions for the National Eventers Challenge Championships at Hickstead in May and The National Schools Equestrian Championships in Addington in October 2023. Qualified teams to date are below as are full results.

Full Results:

On Saturday 11 December the teams braved a cold, early start to get to Forest Edge Arena near Swaffham for an Eventers Challenge qualifier. It was a very successful day for Woodbridge School
· The 70cm team of Year 8’s Edie, Year 7’s Grace, Year8’s Harry and Year 8’s Zac won, with Edie 3rd individual
· The 80cm team ofyear 8’s Edie, Year 7’s Grace, year 8’s Harry and year 8’s Zac came 2nd and Year 13’s Katie was 4th individual
· The 80 team of Year 10’s Eve Year 13’s Katie Year 12’s Issy and Year 13’s Ada came 5th
· The 90cm team of Year 12’s Ada, Year 10’s Eve, Year 10’s Katie and Year 10’s Oscar came 2nd – Ada was 6th and Katie 8th individual.
· 1m Individual Year 12’s Ada came 6th and Year 10’s Eve came 7th
Those teams that came 1st and 2nd and the individuals 1st to 4th qualified for Hickstead in May 2023.

On 28 January 2023 the teams headed to Brook Farm in Essex. They gained valuable points for the Regional Points League. The 70 cm team got Woodbridge off to a brilliant start by winning with Year 8’s Edie coming 3rd, year 8’s Zac 6th and Year 8’s Harry coming 7th
· The 80 team of Year 8’s Edie, Year 12’s Issy Zac and Harry came 2nd with Edie 5th individual
· Individually Year 12’s Issy came 3rd in the 90cm, Year 10’s Eve came 6th in the 1m and 2nd in the 110

On Saturday 19 February the teams headed out to Forest Edge again this time for a Jumping with Style competition which is a mix of show jumps with points for style and eventing jumps competing against the clock and it was another good day for Woodbridge.
· In the 60cm the first class of the day year 5’s Tatiana came 2nd
· In the 70cm Year 8’s Harry, Year 7’s Grace and Year 5’s Tatiana came second qualifying them for the Nationals in October 2023
· In the 80cm year 10’s Oscar, Year 8’s Harry and year 7’s Grace won with Grace 2nd individual
· And year 8’s Edie, year 12’s Florence, Year 13’s Katie and Year 11’s Sophia came 2nd with year 12’s Flo 6th and Year 8’s Edie 7th individual
· In the 90cm Year 13’s Lily, Sophia, Florence and Katie won, with Sophia 2nd and Katie 6th individual
· Sophia, Oscar and Edie came 3rd
Year 12’s Oscar finished the day off with a win in the 1.10m.
