Meet Leo
Leo joined Woodbridge School as a full-time boarder from China and is in Year 11.
My daily routine reflects a balance of independence and structure. From shared breakfasts, lessons, co-curricular activities and time set aside after School for focus on homework, to free time with friends, dinner and evenings spent in and around School. Friends and staff make the community feel like family.
I’m studying Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Maths, EAL, Business, Mandarin and Photography at GCSE, going on to study Triple Sciences, Mandarin, Mathematics and Business at A level. I feel like the boarding environment supports learning through quiet study spaces, structured preparation time and access to staff when needed.
One of my favourite aspects of boarding is the weekend activity programme. Recently, I joined a teacher‑led trip to the Imperial War Museum in Duxford, where we explored historic aircraft and learned about how lives were shaped by war and conflict from 1914 until present day – something I found particularly interesting.
I also enjoy the wide range of co‑curricular activities, there’s so much to choose from, but I really like the shooting club. I also love cooking, and there are lots of opportunities to help out at supper time, to experiment with new recipes or just share food with friends – the boarding house kitchen is definitely one of my favourite places to unwind and be creative!
