Scholarships
At Woodbridge School, we define scholarship as a means of enriching learning and advancing achievement at a high level. Our scholarship programmes support students to stretch and extend their natural talent under the encouragement, enthusiasm and direction of our inspirational teachers.
Nurturing young talent
Our scholars are role models to others around them; living by the School values, and showing sustained commitment to their progression and development.
We offer scholarship awards at entry into Year 7, Year 9 and Year 12 each year in the following categories:
- Academic
- Art (including photography, fashion and sculpture)
- Chess
- Drama
- Music
- Sport
We also offer a Head’s Award for applicants who can demonstrate an exceptional level of talent or achievement in a discipline that is not covered by our other scholarships.
Applying for a scholarship
External candidates
Before applying for a scholarship, you must have formally registered for a place at the School by completing the Registration form.
You are asked to indicate on the Registration form whether you wish to apply for a scholarship. A scholarship application form will be sent to all who express an interest. We encourage parents of Scholars who anticipate that they will experience difficulty in meeting the balance of the tuition fees, to apply at the same time for one of the School’s means-tested bursaries when they register their child.
Year 6 Woodbridge School Prep
Information is sent to all current Year 6 parents when the process initially opens. Interested parents should contact the Admissions Team to request a Scholarship application form.
Internal candidates currently at the Senior School
Recommendations for internal scholarship candidates will be made by Heads of Departments. If you would like to discuss your child’s suitability for a scholarship please contact their tutor.
