Woodbridge Students Attend MUN Conference at Reigate
Nine Woodbridge students made the journey down to Reigate Grammar School on Saturday to take part in their annual MUN conference. All nine were experiencing a real conference for the first time, but acquitted themselves well. All were required to make policy statements on behalf of their countries (Turkey and Rwanda) on a number of topics; ranging from the use of harsh interrogation techniques to controlling greenhouse emissions in industrialising economies. Particular credit must go to Jasper Beaumont who showed great promise as member of the Security Council and was thus debating highly complex topics with some very experienced delegates. The next conference on the schedule is the Paris International MUN where a more experienced team will represent Brazil and Iraq against nearly one thousand other students.
