Our Silver Duke of Edinburgh’s Award students spent half term in the stunning Peak District, taking part in both their training and practice expeditions. Navigating challenging routes, carrying everything they needed on their backs and working together as a team, they demonstrated the resilience, determination and positive spirit we have come to expect from them all.

After nights under canvas and plenty of miles on the trail, spirits remained high as students made their way through Edale and tackled the climb towards Mam Tor.
These experiences offer so much more than enjoying beautiful scenery. They encourage students to step outside their comfort zones, develop independence, build confidence and strengthen essential life skills such as leadership, teamwork, problem-solving and perseverance.

We are incredibly proud of all those who took part and the positive attitude, determination and enthusiasm they showed throughout, particularly in the face of some very changeable weather!
