We believe that extra-curricular activities are central to the all-round development of our pupils, and we aim to provide as many opportunities as possible for pupils to experience a wide range of activities which will enrich their lives in and out of school. Our activities programme shows a commitment by the staff and pupils who lead and take part in this crucial aspect of school life.
On Friday afternoons, classroom activity ends and activities for all begin.
Year 7 and 8 pupils participate in PE lessons.
In Year 9 nearly all pupils join the CCF or the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.
Years 10 and above get to choose from a number of activities devised to aid the development of useful skills like leadership, organisation and communication. Most activities will lead to nationally recognised awards and certificates which will complement pupils’ extra-curricular selection, which is becoming increasingly important for University entrance.
