Meet Sarah

Germany Year 12

Sarah joined Woodbridge from Germany, studying Economics, Psychology and Design.

It’s a small boarding house, so it feels like home, the other boarders feel like friends and family – and Mr Gunn and his family are such lovely people to live with. It’s lovely here – the place and the people. I really enjoy the Music department, but know there are a whole host of other things my fellow boarders enjoy about being here; they all seem as happy as I am to board here.

I’m studying A levels in Economics, Psychology, Design (graphics) and Core Maths, and am supported by scheduled time for homework and planning each day in School House. After School we have allocated time to spend on our studies, that can be homework, research or preparing for the next day or week ahead – it makes sure we are making the most of the opportunities we have academically in School.

As well as A levels, I take part in Chamber Choir and have singing lessons which I am thoroughly enjoying. From a co-curricular point of view there are so many things to choose from – sport, music, CCF, debating, Chess, performing in the School’s theatre – there is something for everyone.

My favourite memory of boarding is when we went exploring, punting on the River Cam, you could see the backs of the historical colleges, it was such a beautiful place and I had a great time with everyone. With trips and visits to the local area, there is always something for us to enjoy and experience.

I love the location of Woodbridge School and the Boarding House, it’s just a short walk into Woodbridge itself, and I love taking a stroll through the town, having a coffee and visiting the shops with my friends; it’s beautiful and very safe, and a great way to experience this part of the world.

When I leave School I am hoping to work as a ski instructor for a short while, ahead of studying either Criminal or International Law at university.

Any queries?
