Meet Rosalie
Rosalie joined Woodbridge in Year 12 and is studying A level Art, Psychology and Classics.
I visited a number of other schools, but Woodbridge was by far the best – I liked the way the boarding house looked and felt, the people and the School itself – it was clear I wasn’t going to get lost in the crowd here, I could see how much the teachers and staff cared about the boarders – cared about all of the students. It was an easy decision.
I’m studying A levels in Art, Psychology and Classical Civilisation, and love feeling like I am a part of a big family. The boarders feel like your family away from home, it’s a great community of people, who become friends.
I think my favourite memory so far was when we went Go Karting together, I’d never done it before it was brilliant fun – but not just that, I really felt like part of the community with my fellow boarders, we all had a great time.
We wake up then share breakfast together ahead of our day, it’s a great way to start the day! Lessons are interesting and varied, with an enormous amount of academic and pastoral support, in the classroom and in terms of looking ahead beyond School – I hope to go on to university and I know there will be every bit of help and guidance I need in terms of finding the best one for me, my studies and the life I’d like to live.
We do have lots of free time after School once we’ve had supper together and completed our homework time, if we want to stay in School house and watch a movie, cook or just sit and chat with other boarders that’s fine, but we’re also able to walk into and explore the town of Woodbridge – it’s so beautiful, safe and friendly.
I really like how it feels a bit like a big family in the boarding house – it’s a home-from-home for sure!
