Meet Juan
Juan joined Woodbridge School in Year 12, studying A level Biology, Chemistry, Maths and Further Maths.
I’m very happy and settled in School House, it’s definitely an advantage being on the School site, it means I’m close to everything – which is a real advantage during the School day, week and weekends. It’s just a short walk from the beautiful town of Woodbridge too where I can go with or meet with friends, enjoy lunch or grab a coffee and explore the shops.
I also love being with my friends before and after School. We do our homework together which is really nice, and if you ever need to talk about something there’s always someone to listen.
My grandparent lives close by, so I spend weekends there with her. But day-to-day I can be here, focused on my A level studies and fully engaged in School. I really enjoy my studies, particularly Maths, and I was really proud to lead the Enigma Society for Talented Mathematicians in Year 12.
There is always something to do, from trips, a movie, cookery or learning a new skill such as pottery with Mrs Gunn; the clubs at lunchtimes and after School are so varied, there really is something for everyone. I love singing, so I’m really pleased to be part of the Chamber Choir; I love the people I do this with and they all have beautiful voices.
I’d love to travel the world at some point, meeting new people, seeing and experiencing other cultures and parts of the world. Ultimately though I’d like a career in medicine. I’ve had so much support with my studies at Woodbridge School, including university applications, it’s been brilliant. I’ve had everything I need here and more.
