Meet Dina

Serbia Year 13

Dina joined Woodbridge School in Year 12, studying A level Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Economics.

Woodbridge School is a wonderful place to live and learn, and I feel cared for and respected by everyone here. The support I’ve received has certainly encouraged me to work hard, to focus and to achieve my personal goals – and more! Boarding here has shaped me as a person, I have been surrounded by brilliant teachers and friends, whose support and kindness has helped me every step of the way.

I’m not only getting a great education, but enjoying my time here enormously. I have the perfect balance of study and social life, so while I enjoying progressing in the subjects I’m studying, I’ve also got time and the option to explore personal interests. From being involved with and taking part in School productions in our theatre, to running as part of the athletics team, there’s so much to be part of.

As a boarder I am part of the entire School community in every sense. I’ve met people from all over the world, learning about their culture, language and lives outside of School, it’s definitely an enriching experience.

Our recent trip to the Go Karting Centre with all of the other boarders was absolutely brilliant – it was great to spend the day with everyone doing something we all thought was fun, there are always things to do at the weekends, we’re spoilt for choice! The activities really bring us all together too, it’s a really great opportunity to get to know people you might not have spent time with already.

I wake up around 7.20am, get myself ready and then enjoy breakfast with everyone to get me ready for a productive day! I’m studying four A levels so my School day can be busy, but I still get to grab a coffee with friends between lessons, it’s nice to catch up, we either chat or spend time revising for upcoming tests.

I love to take part in either running, gym, Young Enterprise or Maths clubs after School, and this leads up nicely to supper which I enjoy with all the other boarders – it’s great to talk about our day, what we’ve been up to and what we’ve got planned. After supper we head back to School House where we do our homework and prepare for the next day; I often talk to my parents once I’ve finished, it’s great to catch up with them too. I also like to take a walk with my friends in the evenings, Woodbridge is a beautiful town to explore or wander through and around. My day ends by being “snuggled up in bed”, in my home from home, School House.

Boarding at Woodbridge School is great. There are routines to follow, but even then, every day is different – every day brings its own story to life.

Any queries?
