Chaplain (residential)
Salary: £43,217 FTE Actual Salary: £34,270 35 hours per week, plus Boarding Duties 36 weeks per year

We are seeking an enthusiastic, reliable and hardworking Chaplain to join our wellestablished and highly respected school community.

The Chaplain at Woodbridge School holds a pivotal and deeply valued role at the heart of school life, guiding the spiritual, moral and emotional development of pupils and staff within a warm, inclusive environment. As a steady and compassionate presence, the Chaplain supports the wellbeing of the entire community, those of Christian faith, other faith traditions, and none, ensuring that every individual feels seen, heard and valued.

Through leading worship, offering pastoral support, and helping to shape the School’s ethos, the Chaplain contributes meaningfully to a culture grounded in kindness, respect, service and integrity. As a visible and approachable figure across the School, the Chaplain fosters a sense of belonging and encourages pupils to explore big questions, develop personal values, and grow in confidence, compassion and purpose during their time at Woodbridge.

This is a live-in role, contracted at 35 hours per week, and includes Boarding House duties for 36 weeks of the year. Working closely with the Head of Boarding, the post-holder will play a key role in supporting the wellbeing and day-to-day life of the Boarding House. The position offers a unique opportunity to be fully immersed in the life of the School and to contribute meaningfully to a supportive, reflective and inspiring community.

Teacher of Business
Salary: £31,343 to £46,114 per annum Pro rata for part time 0.8 to 1 FTE Start Date: September 2026

HR Generalist (Temporary)
Fixed Term
Up to £32,000 (FTE) Pro rata for part time
Up to 21 hours per week, 2-3 days a week

Working hours between 8.30am – 4.30pm
Hours can be flexible, with working within School Hours if required.

Due to a planned absence within the People Team, we are looking for a Temporary HR Generalist on a fixed term contract to support with the day-to-day functions within the People Team, initially for 3 months.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advice and guidance on employee relations, including absence management, performance management, grievance, disciplinary, and wellbeing matters.
  • Maintain compliance with employment law, safeguarding, GDPR, and internal policies.
  • Contribute to the development of a nurturing, transparent, and inclusive workplace culture.

About You:

  • Experience in a similar HR or People Generalist role.
  • CIPD Level 5 (or equivalent experience/working towards).
  • Experience of employee relations Casework.
  • Strong understanding of employment law and HR best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across departments.

Bar Assistants (3 Positions)
Salary: £13.82 per hour
Casual hours as and when required

We are looking to appoint three flexible and customer focused Bar Assistants to support with the smooth running of our bar areas at various internal and external functions. You must be over 18 to apply as you will be handling alcohol.

You will be required to work as and when required to meet the needs of the events team and will provide food and beverage services to both the School and the Theatre working with a range of people from students, staff, parents, guests, and visitors. You will mainly be based in the Theatre for evening and weekend shows.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a customer facing environment. Front of house or catering experience is desirable but not essential. You will have the ability to work in a busy environment with a priority for meeting the needs of guests and the smooth running of the bar.

Chef (Maternity Cover)
Salary: £21,727.20 per annum

We require an enthusiastic and friendly Chef to join our busy Catering Team at Woodbridge School to cover a period of maternity from 1 September 2026 to 25 March 2027.

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Chef to join the Catering Team at Woodbridge School, supporting the delivery of high-quality meals for our pupils and staff. This will be to cover a period of maternity from 1 September 2026 to 25 March 2027. This key role involves working in a fast-paced school kitchen environment, contributing to the planning and preparation of nutritious menus, and helping to maintain excellent food standards and safety practices. The successful candidate will bring experience from a catering or kitchen setting, hold relevant qualifications—including Food Safety Level 2—and demonstrate a commitment to providing an outstanding dining experience within our vibrant school community.

You will be required to work a total of 37.5 hours per week with variable shift patterns. An example shift pattern could be 7:00am to 3:00pm or 10:30am to 6:30pm. You will also be required to work 1 weekend in 4 (9:30am to 6:30pm).

Experience of working in a kitchen or catering setting is essential for this role. A relevant catering qualification and a certificate in Food Safety Level 2 is also essential. You will be responsible for running a section of the kitchen and delivering a high-quality food provision to our residents. Reporting to the Head Chef for Woodbridge School.

Casual Minibus Drivers
Salary: £14.20 per hour (including holiday pay)
Zero Hours – Monday to Friday

We require enthusiastic and friendly Casual Minibus Drivers to provide an early morning and late afternoon transport service to our pupils, as well as ensuring that the appropriate checks are carried out on the minibus prior to driving. You will be joining an already established, friendly and supportive team.

This role is offered on a casual zero-hour basis.

Our drivers are welcome to stay after the morning shift for a complimentary breakfast served on site in the Dining Hall, when the Dining Hall is in operation. In addition, any shifts worked over lunch period are entitled to a lunch in the Dining Hall, when in operation.

There may be opportunities for further hours during the school day to cover student trips and/or sports fixtures etc.

Successful applicants will:

  • Possess a category D, D1 licence, or PCV/CPC.
  • Be able to demonstrate that they are a reliable, safe driver with a clean driving licence, ideally with appropriate driving experience.
  • Be prepared to undergo a pre-employment health assessment.
  • Be able to interact effectively with children and ensure their safety.
  • Ideally have experience of working with young people.

Sports Coach

At different times throughout the School year, we require additional coaches to work with us; this may vary on a termly basis and can range from one to three afternoons per week.

We are looking for inspirational coaches across a variety of sports to support our excellent games provision and our students at Woodbridge School.

We are seeking talented, flexible individuals who are committed to providing the best opportunities for students across a range of abilities. To engage with students and staff, contributing towards creating a vibrant, fulfilling environment that provides appropriate levels of challenge.

The appropriate candidate will have extensive experience in coaching/playing, as well as of working in schools or similar environments. The sports on offer at Woodbridge School include: Athletics, Basketball, Cricket, Dance, Football, Hockey, Netball, Rugby.

Duties are likely to include coaching within games lessons, co-curricular practices and matches, and this would primarily be afternoons from 1.00pm to 5:30pm, Tuesday to Friday, term time only. Please check here for our term dates.
