1st Team Hockey vs Wymondham: Won 6-0
20 Sep 18
The first team kicked off its season with a clinical performance and great result against Wymondham. The match saw four Year 11s make their debuts in a team full of experience. Co-Captains Mollie and Georgia led from the front and the girls delivered a true team performance from the outset.
The final score of 6-0 reflected not only how Woodbridge fared in attack, but how well the defenders did too: distributing with accuracy, dealing with counter attacks well, marking superbly and dominated their defensive third.
With such a good team performance it is difficult to single out a player of the match. Annabel, Ianthe, Kiya and Flora all played great matches, but ultimately the team’s joint players of the match were Mollie and Sophie.
Well done all, and many thanks to the parents and the second team (celebrating their own triumph 3-1 earlier in the day) for the enthusiastic support.
